Sri Vani Education Centre is a dream foundation of Late Shri R.S. Hanumantha Rao. He was a man with great vision, courage and humanity. His life was full of struggle, but he was never demoralized in achieving his dream.

Mr. Rao had a tough time during his childhood, after his father’s demise at a young age of three. Though his grandfather owned a hotel, his uncles snatched away all the property from his illiterate mother, leaving him with no option but to work as a waiter in the same hotel. With two sisters and younger brother in mother’s womb, he had to maintain the family. But, he pursued his studies along with the job as he always believed that respect comes only with the knowledge one has. Working in the evenings, he hardly got time for studies.

 Realising the importance of education right from childhood, R.S. Hanumantha Rao, came up with the vision to remove the hardships faced by many and to spread the value of knowledge.  On his friend’s advice, he came up with the idea to start his own school. Though his first school was Sri Vinayaka Education Society at Cubbonpet in 1964, he had to give it away due to his caste barrier. In 1966 he started Sri Vani Education Centre with all the experience gained with his earlier venture. With his hard work, dedication and ability to inspire others with his working style, the institution gained a very good reputation.

Hard work and complete dedication with elaborate planning and result oriented working ability, gave him success in building an educational institution. Started with just 18 students, today Sri Vani Education Centre is capable of giving education for more than 5500 students efficiently.

 He also came up with a social organisation named Sanskriti Prachar Samiti, aimed at spreading Hindu customs, rituals and Indian culture, in order to curb the after effects of the British rule in India.

In 1972, Mr. Rao’s sudden demise due to massive heart attack brought an end to a great era.

Growing Ahead with the Dream of The Founder

Shri R.S. Hanumantha Rao had left behind him his wife Mrs. R.H. Usha and five children.  Mrs. Usha was educated till fifth standard when she got married. It was her husband’s persuasion which made her complete SSLC after being a mother of five children and later did the graduation with her son.  Mrs. R.H. Usha is successfully governing Srivani Education Centre with her children and her brothers. They work efficiently for the swift progress of institute.

Today, Srivani Education Centre is flourishing progressively, making Mr. Rao’s dream a huge success. It is an institution where students grow with ethics, disciplines, cultural values and humanity.
