Sri Vani Education Centre is the dream child of Late Mr. R. S. Hanumantha Rao, a renowned philanthropist with a magnanimous personality.

The dream of Mr. Rao began when he started working in Vinayaka High School in Cubbonpet, Bangalore. During this period he was inspired to start his own educational institution. With an aim to provide quality education to children, Mr. Rao started Sri Vani Education Centre in 1966 with a small group of 18 children. With his industriousness and dedication, Sri Vani Education Centre achieved good reputation within a short span of time. Seeing the success of this school, people from his native village, Narasipura, requested him to start a high school, as children were commuting a very long distance for their school. Despite his financial crisis, Mr. Rao started Athmarama High School during that time.

After his sudden demise in the year 1972, his wife Smt. R. H. Usha with the support of her 5 children and her brothers, successfully took up the administration of the institution. With her sincerity and earnestness, today Sri Vani is known as one of the foremost educational institutions in Bengaluru city. Sri Vani Education Centre is a leading educational institution educating more than 5500 students in three separate campuses - Ramavana at Rajajinagar, Shamavana at Basaveshwarnagar and Hanumavana off Magadi Road in the Garden city Bangalore.

Sri Vani Science Park is another feather in the cap.  This Science Park has got many firsts to its credit. Spread over an area of four and a half acres, it has a big collection of scientific toys, specimens, models and other exhibits, an open air physics lab, a geological and physical science museum, a rock garden and a biodiversity park. The entire surrounding is full of greenery adding a unique ambience to the school environment making this an educational paradise.
